Day 1: Cusco – Tinki – Upis – Hot springs
We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 am. to start your expedition. You will have tourist transport for 3 hours until you reach the beginning of the Tinki town. Tinki is a small Andean town located near Ocongate, located at 3,900 m.s.n.m / 12,795 feet above sea level. Here you will meet our personal managers. where we will pause to visit the town market. And to know their customs so that we can also make some necessary purchases for our trip. Then, the gradual and uphill walk will begin. It will be three or four hours before we reach our lunch area. On the way we will have incredible views of Ausangate, in the distance. We will pass through traditional villages and meet some local people, dressed in their colorful traditional clothes. They can accompany their alpacas. Our lunch spot is in an amazing location, surrounded by stunning mountains and a great view of the top of the Ausangate Glacier. After lunch, it will be another two hours of walking until we reach our camp in Upis Alto, near the famous hot springs. Upis Alto is a small town located at 4,100 meters above sea level / 13,451 feet. This will be our first camp on the slopes of Ausangate.

Day 2: Upis – Arapa Pass – Pucaccocha
After a very early and nutritious breakfast, you will prepare for the second day of the trek. Today you will have wonderful views of the peaks of the Ausangate Glacier. You’ll also see the lakes and waterfalls, and perhaps some wild llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, as well as Andean condors soaring above. We will have a three-hour uphill hike to reach the first pass, which is 4,850 meters above sea level / 16,404 feet. You will have magnificent views of the surroundings, especially in the dry season. In some months of the year, we will walk through the snow. You will most likely see vicuñas, which are the most impressive wild animals in Peru. They belong to the Andean camelid family. Today, their wool is the most expensive wool in the world. After taking some amazing photos, we will continue with a two and a half hour gradual downhill hike to a beautiful area, where you will enjoy lunch on your second day. Then, it will be another two and a half hours until we reach our camp, in (Pucca Ccocha). This campsite is one of the most beautiful, located behind the Apu Ausangate and on the shore of the lake. You can see incredible birds, of different kinds that they inhabit and also some condors and eagles that fly nearby.

Day 3: Pucaccocha – ananta leg – warmi sayana
We will wake you up early with a cup of hot coca tea, to start one of the most beautiful days of the trek. You will enjoy the majestic views of some of the highest peaks in the Andes and the depths of the beautiful valleys. You will have two mountain passes to do today.
After an early breakfast, we will start with a steep two-hour climb to the Abra Pucaccocha pass 4900 m.a.s.l. m / 16,732 ft. On the way you will have beautiful views of the blue lakes and the top of the Ausangate glacier. You can even see the avalanches that occur from the glacial hills. Once you reach the top of this mountain, you will be right in front of the Ausangate, so you can enjoy the Chillca Valley and the large number of alpacas that graze these hills. After taking great pictures you will continue for another two hours on a gradual downhill hike, then we will arrive at our lunch spot, located in the ananta pata valley. You will see views of waterfalls, green hills and snow-capped peaks. After enjoying your lunch and a short siesta, you will continue to the second pass of the day, called the warmi sayana pass, at a height of 4900 m.a.s.l. / 17,388 feet. It will be a slow walk of one and a half hours to reach the top of this highest pass of the trek. Along the way, it is possible to see some condors and vicuñas. Once we are at the top of the mountain, we will have a magnificent view of the mountain of colors. It will then be another hour of downhill walking to our campsite on the shores of Laguna Soroccocha, where you will enjoy our daily happy hour of hot drinks. This camp is just a few hours from our final destination, the Rainbow Mountains. It is possible to see some condors and vicuñas. Once we are at the top of the mountain, we will enjoy. This is a perfect place to observe the famous Inca constellations and stargaze.

Day 4: Soroccocha – mountain of colors – Chillihuani – Cusco
After another early breakfast with your trekking team, you will gradually ascend for an hour, until you reach the famous 7 Color Mountains. and to the Red Valley viewpoint (Mountain Valley), located at 5,000 m / 17,060 ft elevation. Your guide will take you to the perfect places to take postcard photos. It will also explain why these mountains are different from any other mountain in the Cordillera de Vilcanota. Part of the difference is due to the composition of various minerals, which create different colors of stone striations in the midst of the Red Mountains. This is one of the main tourist attractions in South America and one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Peru.
After taking photos and enjoying the views, you will continue with the expedition until the end of the tour. This is all downhill, you will travel for an hour until you stop to enjoy your final lunch with your team. Afterwards, we will drive for 3 hours to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. The road offers beautiful views of the Andes and we will pass through some traditional villages along the way. You will arrive in Cusco around 5:00 pm
